Seriun welcome new Senior Service Desk Engineer

Seriun, MSP, is delighted to announce the latest addition to its team of talented professionals, Chris Harris.

Originally from Cumbria, Chris now calls Bury home where he happily lives with his wife, Danielle. With a wealth of experience and passion for technology, Chris brings a fresh perspective to the Seriun team.

Chris’ qualifications showcase his commitment to both education and the IT industry. He has obtained 11 GCSEs (A-C), a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology and a BA Hons in Primary Education with QTS. In addition to this, his industry specific certifications include CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+. He is currently working towards CEH, Council certified Ethical Hacker status which will allow him to further progress into the field of Cyber Security.

Throughout his career as a teacher Chris was always involved in IT, being the ‘go to guy’ at his school for computer problems. In 2017 Chris made the bold decision to transition from a career in teaching to the field of IT.

Prior to joining Seriun, Chris served as an IT Support Technician at AA Projects, a renowned construction project management company, where he honed his technical expertise. Now at Seriun, Chris takes on the role of Senior Service Desk Engineer. His responsibilities include receiving customer calls; completing helpdesk tickets and providing an escalation point for the rest of the team.

Outside of his professional life, Chris enjoys spending quality time with his wife, exploring new places, and pursuing his passion for photography.

Chris sums up his feelings about his new role at Seriun with enthusiasm “I love my role at Seriun as I get to help so many different people while learning so much about different technologies”.

Chris’s arrival at Seriun bolsters the talent pool in the service desk. With his diverse skills, commitment to learning and genuine desire to assist others, he is set to make a significant impact in his role as Senior Service Desk Engineer.

Chris’s claim to fame is shaking hands with Steven Segal and his musical talents extend to the Trombone and Piano, although not at the same time.
