Seriun are supporting Lancashire based charity Friends of Serenity

Friends of Serentiy

We are proud to announce that our charity of the year for 2023 is ‘Friends of Serenity,’ a Lancashire-based charity dedicated to preserving and protecting the health of sick and pregnant women and those who suffer miscarriage or still birth.

Friends of Serenity are a vital source of support and comfort to those who have been affected by this deeply personal and emotional experience, helping them to cope with their loss and navigate their grief.

Friends of Serenity was founded in 2013 by Joanne Edwards, who suffered the devastating loss of her own baby due to the condition Trisomy 13. She wanted to form a charity to create a supportive community for parents who have also suffered the tragic loss of a baby.

The charity provides a range of services, including: providing and assisting in the provision of facilities and equipment at East Lancashire Women and New Born Centre; supporting newly bereaved parents in the provision of memory boxes and miscarriage keepsakes; and providing support and qualified information on the chromosome disorder Trisomy 13.

The charity works tirelessly to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss, advocating for better support and care for parents who have experienced this type of loss. They work with hospitals and healthcare providers to ensure that families are provided with the support they need, both during and after their loss.

We are proud to be supporting Friends of Serenity as our charity of the year for 2023. We believe that the work they do is incredibly important, and we are committed to doing everything we can to help them continue to provide their vital services.

Throughout the year, we will be running a series of fundraising events and activities to support Friends of Serenity. We encourage all of our team and customers to get involved and help us to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.
