Seriun is celebrating the achievement of Jordan Hines, who has successfully completed Burnley’s Future Leaders programme, a 12-month initiative supporting the next generation of business leaders across the borough.
Designed for people under the age of 30, the programme gives participants the opportunity to develop personally and professionally, build their confidence and gain experience that they can take back into their organisations.
Jordan is Service Desk Team Leader at Seriun, working within the Technical department. Having progressed into a team leadership role, the programme has given him the opportunity to continue developing the skills and confidence that will support him as he takes on greater responsibility within the business.
For Jordan, the programme has been an opportunity to step outside of his day-to-day role at Seriun, strengthen his leadership qualities and prepare for taking on greater responsibility as his career progresses.
Throughout the programme, Jordan has taken part in a range of development sessions and activities alongside other young people from businesses across Burnley.
Jordan said:
“The Future Leaders programme has been a really valuable experience for me. It’s helped me build my confidence, develop my leadership skills and think more about the type of leader I want to become in the future.
“It’s also been a great opportunity to meet and learn alongside other young people from businesses across Burnley. I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned into practice and continuing to develop within my role at Seriun.”
Mark Edwards, Operations Director at Seriun, said:
“We’re really proud of Jordan for completing the Future Leaders programme. It’s been great to see his confidence grow and for him to have the opportunity to build the leadership skills that will support him as his career progresses.
“Developing our people is really important to us at Seriun, particularly when initiatives like this also bring together young adults from businesses across Burnley. Jordan has embraced the opportunity, and completing the programme is a fantastic achievement.”
Jordan’s graduation is another positive step in his development at Seriun, giving him experience and skills that he can continue to build on as he progresses in his career.
It also demonstrates the value of local initiatives such as Future Leaders, giving ambitious young people the chance to learn from others, build their confidence and make connections with businesses and people across Burnley.
