Seriun have recently recruited Dan Fisher as their new Service Desk Engineer.

Dan was born in Solihull and now lives in Littleborough with his partner Beth and their 12 year old Shih Tzu, Alfie. He enjoys spending time at home and getting away on trips together, especially when Alfie can come along too.
Professionally, Dan brings a diverse and well rounded background into the role. He holds a BA Hons in Music Production from the University of Central Lancashire, alongside an impressive range of IT certifications including CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and CySA+, as well as Cisco CCNA and Microsoft AZ-900.
Dan’s interest in IT started from a young age, building PCs and offering technical advice. After completing his degree, he initially pursued opportunities in the media sector, but found it difficult during a recession. Having worked in customer service roles, he developed strong communication skills and a good understanding of managing expectations. He made the decision to invest in himself, completed his A+ certification and secured his first role in IT, which set him on his current career path.
Before joining Seriun, Dan worked at Essity in Trafford Park, supporting a large international organisation with sites across EMEA and the Americas. Prior to that, he spent around three years at Hunter Price International in Oldham, where he gained hands on experience across infrastructure installations and Microsoft 365 administration across multiple sites.
At Seriun, Dan joins as a Service Desk Engineer. His role involves providing professional and fast paced support and advice to a wide range of customers across different industries.
Looking ahead, Dan is keen to continue developing his skills and progressing his career. He is currently working towards Microsoft AZ-104, as well as SC-900 and AI-900, and is also planning to achieve ITIL certification.
Outside of work, Dan is a passionate football fan and a season ticket holder at Rochdale, currently enjoying a promotion push. He is also a big Formula 1 fan and supports McLaren. He enjoys travelling with his partner, whether abroad or on UK getaways where they can take Alfie. He has recently completed the Couch to 5K challenge with the aim of completing a 10K race before the end of the year. When it comes to food, he enjoys Indian cuisine and admits he is more savoury than sweet, with a particular weakness for crisps.
One of Dan’s most memorable trips was to Supetar on the island of Brač in Croatia, where he enjoyed a quieter setting while also visiting Split for a few days.
Speaking about his new role, Dan said:
“Excited to get stuck in. I have been made to feel very welcome and the office has a great atmosphere. It is great to be around individuals with similar goals and strong technical backgrounds.”
Seriun are thrilled to have Dan on board and wish him well in his journey.
