Timon Holden has officially become a Cyber Essentials Assessor

CE certificate

Timon Holden has been part of Seriun’s Service desk since Lockdown 2020 and is now expanding his skillset into cyber security.

From Wilpshire, Timon studied film and media at Edge Hill university and achieved a BA (Hons). However, he always had a keen interest in IT so made the decision to take his career in that direction instead and joined Holker IT as an IT Apprentice. He then moved to Granby Marketing Services to continue his Apprenticeship as an Onsite Technician and gained his Infrastructure Technician Level 3 qualification. He then progressed to 1st and 2nd line support there.

The next move for Timon was joining Seriun as Support Engineer in 2020 where he works on their service desk resolving customers technical issues across their diverse client base. During his time here he has achieved Microsoft Azure fundamentals certification. In line with his personal development plan and his desire to move across into the field of cyber security, Timon has been undergoing cyber security training with Seriun’s head of Cyber Security, Wayne Fulton.

The first string to his bow in the subject is his recent certification as IASME Cyber Essentials Assessor. This follows the successful completion of a rigorous exam after months of preparation. It shows he is qualified to assist businesses in their journey to become Cyber Essentials accredited.

Timon now has his sights on achieving the IASME Cyber Essentials Plus Assessor course so he can certify businesses with the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation as well as the basic level.

Head of Cyber Security, Wayne said “Timon is enjoying his transition over to cyber security and has a natural flair for it. He’s quickly picking up new skills and knowledge and is progressing really well. It’s great to have him as part of our cyber team, bringing passion and enthusiasm along with him.”

Timon & Wayne

Timon said: “Seriun is an amazing team to work with and I am able to get my job done while still having a laugh with the guys. Working here has been a sharp learning curve compared to being in-house IT. I look forward to progressing my career in cyber and I’m excited about the future.”

In his spare time Timon enjoys a good game of footy with his fellow Seriun team members and tries to get a game in once a week.
